FUCK I AM SO MAD ARRRRGGGGHHHH

I played like absolute shit at the ft and i highly regret it. I was way to tight and then i made a fuckjing stupid play on a hand liek 23469 that hand cost me the tournament. But i cant complain to much because that was a fold to cash tourney and when i got into money i had 2600 at 500/1000-100 blinds and had a 3 way all in then another double up and then made a sick play on the guy and called him with Q hi. i was chipleading from about 14 people left till final table and when FT started i had almost 100k on second but that didnt last long as i lost a couple pots and 2nd won a few. Another nice thing was that i busted the person in tenth and we went hand for hand and at the other table there was a three way all in and 9 th and 8th busted so we started 7 handed. lol before that tournament i tried to get a last longer going on p5s but no one would step up and play with me, smart move. God i wish i could go back and play that FT again i would play so much better.

well recentley Hold Em has been boring the hell out of me and has become some what of a chore so i have been working on learning other games and more specifically split pot games. For this tlb bet i have dabbled in a few stud tournies and i think two omaha ones. Last night was the first time i had ever cashed a tournament that wasnt hold em or limit holdem i got 29/344 in a stud h/l game. I didnt give two shits about the money (it was a $1 with like $85 for first lol) i just really wanted to cahsh it and by the skin of my teeth i managed to do it. I have 379 tlbs on the month which is pretty good so far but i would really like to crack the 1000 mark this month as i have never done that. As i type this i am playing razz and get dealt 234 follwed by a 5 then a j a q a 3 and that donk calls me down with j hi................can you actually believe that jack hi OMG excuse me while i throw my monitor out the window. Not only do donks call me with nothing BUT i cashed 1400 of my roll and therefore stars decided to ram the cashout curse up my ass so ty stars. GFY.

yay made another FT but it was only in a $2 for $100 but the 200 tlbs where a nice bonus. I actually didnt play for the first two or three hours because i was out and had a friend on my account i took over once there where 35 ppl left. From there on i was chip lead almost the entire time untill ft where i came in as second place. The FT was a complete joke, for some reason from 35 down till 9 took almost 2 hours so the blinds where jacked up and everyone was in pushfold and i eventually got caught. The thing that really bugged me was the fact that one guy came to FT on short stack and stayed there the whole time and never had over 10 BBs but somewho managed to cling on (a 3 outer off me helped him) he actually ended up getting 3rd which really pissed me off.

I played 7 sngs today and won 4 of them with one 2nd place finish, a very nice way to end the week right before i go out of town. So i am basically on sschedule and will only be 10 fpps behind when i get back on sunday buy i should have no problem playing 6 sngs that night. I have been having these really good sessions recentley but it holding me back from playing alot of sngs because when i am up alot of money i like to quit the day ahead so i need to work on that and learn that i need to gamble a bit more. I have made my bankroll to $2k from the original $60 i deposited and i am really happy about that, so far i have pulled $484 (USD) and i am going to pull another $500(USD) bringing my total up to over $1k (including cashouts from other sites aswell). My quest to be silver star: Week 1

I have always dreamed of one day being a VIP and it is now a reality i am well on my way to earning the 1500 VPPs needed to become silverstar (I will never ever ever be anything higher i just dont play enough) I reckon I need about 50 FPP/VPPs a day to be silver for the end of the month so far I am ahead of schedule with 235 VPPs 4 days into the month, here is my schedule and I will try to update weekly...

I dont plan on earning exactly 50 FPP/VPPs a day, somedays will probally have no points earned while others may have 300 points as long as I keep some what on track and have the required amount of VPPs needed for each week by sunday I will be happy. As for how I will earn the VPPs I have been mulit-tabling $27 turbos at 10 FPP/VPPs a pop and also grinding 1/2 limit a game where you earn an insane amount of points very quickly. meh it was a nice little score i ended up getting 2nd for $144. Other than that i havent made nuch money or had many scores. I am so stoked that N 82 fixed the poker db to include my $8 ft puting my total up to 1879 in winnings which is pretty sweet. Why do you play poker? – The importance of goal setting

Everyone has their own reason why they play, maybe you want to pay off some bills or debts perhaps you want to be able to put a down payment on your new house, but most people have no sense of direction as to where they are heading in the poker world. I attribute most of my recent success (as small as it may be to most of you) to setting goals. I have a few simple rules and guidelines you can follow to help you with your game.

1) What are the things you want to accomplish in the poker world the most? - (Keep it reasonable, lol we all want to win the WCOOP) Mine where to turn the initial $60 I deposited into $750 before the summer ended, have over $1000 in cashes on the poker db and to make 5 final tables

2) Write down your goals. - You need to have physical evidence of what you are trying to accomplish or else you may forget also if you have it written down it is a lot harder to give up, I find, because people are going to see your goals and if you don’t accomplish them your friends and family will know you failed, this was a big incentive for me.


3)Play Smart – I am referring to bankroll management, a subject that has been discussed on our boards MANY times before. To save me the trouble of typing this here is the link to a great article by Fox, Basic Bankroll Management.


4) Accomplish your goals – It is a great feeling to know you have completed everything you set out to do all those months ago. If you didn’t make it no problem, sure it sucks but you have gained valuable experience during that time period and you are most likely to make it next time. Keep in mind it is not worth it to go broke playing to high or if something more important than poker comes up.

5)Have Fun – Don’t be stressed out if you aren’t going to make the deadline for your goal, you obviously set it to high and you will learn from your mistake for the next time.

The above types of goals are extremely broad and do not really focus on one thing in general, which brings me to my next point…


SNG Challenges

These are a great way to learn some valuable skills, put in a lot of hands and make some good money. Now all you have to decide what the guidelines for challenge are going to be.


1) What’s the challenge? What do you want to do play 500 sngs? 1000 sngs? And what are you aiming for, do you want to have a 20% ROI over all those sngs or do you want to make $20/h?. Here is a post from one of the resident sng experts on the site, dhubermex

2) Buy in – What level is suitable to your bankroll? Once again I recommend reading foxes article to get an idea of where you stand, Basic Bankroll Management.

3) Multi-tabling – It is going to take along time to play 500 sngs 1 at a time so I recommend playing several. If you are unfamiliar with multi-tabling then start off slow and add tables when you fell comfortable until you feel you are ready to take on you challenge.

I highly recommend anyone who has read this article to think of some goals and go out and accomplish them and make some money, gl.

Update

Not much happening recentley and i have played very little since my win and only a couple mtts so i am hoping to play a bit more this week. I am thinking about buying another computer and running dual monitors in my room cause my other computer is always being used my family and the laptop is for use while watching tv, another big thing is i want to have some music in my room and if i had itunes i could do that. I figured out how to run dual monitors off my laptop and i am farely pleased about that although i havent had a chance to really multi-table yet and am looking forward to doing so. Here is a picture of my setup with the old crapy monitor. I am gonna buy another 17-19" LCD so when i get the new comp i can run dual monitors and hella-multi-table.

I think i got this poker thing figured out

WOW it still hasn’t sunk in, how can a micro donk win this much freaking money in one swing? I am still shell shocked at this win, although it isn’t really that big to my opponent bdubs3737. When we hit six handed I pitch a chop and everyone but bdubs agreed alright I was cool with that I can easily beat these guys, bdubs busts a few more short stacks and we are three handed once again I pitch a chop bdubs replies “not yet ronjon, I smell dead money”. Lol so bdubs does his usually shit kicking of the field and we are HU I beg for a chop and he graciously decides to give me another $150 which was huge considering he had me 4-1 and that was only $47 off the chip chop deal so I took it.

Anywho back to poker, when we where down to final 45 I had about 100k in chips and was just around first or second not much happened a few ppl went out and then suddenly I was up to 150k in chips and had about 50k on second then I dropped down a bit but picked up this gem
